It's almost impossible to answer, I think. World peace in itself is a broad topic, so for it to be threatened it needs to happen and whether it is the case is another discussion. But to answer the question, following extremes, there could be two ways it can go - people start killing each other off, or they come together in hardship. If we look internationally then I can't imagine see a country starting to exploit another country because of the financial crisis. If it has already happened before then it, of course, continues in being more vicious.
